And one of the most important ways to graphically illustrate where a property is located is aerial photography. For over thirty years Nextimage3D has been offering aerial photography in most areas of Southern California including Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties, the Inland Empire, and San Diego. We normally use small helicopters as shooting platforms because they offer the greatest maneuverability and efficiency over other kinds of aircraft. Helicopters allow us to photograph from as low as 500 ft. above ground, and to hover when specific angles are required. Helicopters can also fly up to 5,000 ft. and can show where a property is located in relation to freeways, highways, business districts, beaches, and other important points of interest. We use small airplanes when economy is important and projects are located far from airports, or when multiple projects are located far from each other. Planes are more limited than helicopters for shooting because the lowest altitude they are permitted to fly at is 1,000 ft., and they must always be moving--unlike helicopters which can hover. However, they can fly faster and higher than helicopters and can travel greater distances.
